Here's a picture of our umbrella dryer.. Yes and its made of e bbq grill thing... This is awesome stuff.. a working prototype on our 2nd presentation. This isn't the real thing.. Prof was pretty impressed and our classmates were pretty stumped.. but hey we worked hard and I think we deserved a pat our back.. gd work guys!! The prof wanted us to present the last.. we had our prototype hidden under a very interesting piece of hot pink cloth by claire. Claire was our "electrician" she was using all kinds of weird stuff to get the wiring up... well the fans worked and the whole class came down to feel the "air circulation" generated by the fans... So it was our first successful presentation. We were able to change the prof's opinion on our project. Right from the start u could see he didn't buy our idea.. but apparently he DID and he was impressed =)) and suddenly all the negative stuff ppl ( u shud noe who u r man... more like SHE should noe who SHE is) said abt our invention being useless n all doesn't matter... we stuck by our project and made it work!!! Now its really taking our project up another level.. GS really wants to make $$$ with the prototype.. LOL.. I think our team has great chemistry.. at least we don't haf problematic ppl on the grp.. unlike my jc days man.. Went to borders today to purchase The Fortune at the bottom of the pyramid: Eradicating poverty through profits. Ok it sounds like its fervently supporting the exploitation of the poor but hey its a business model. Make money out of the poor while getting rid of poverty. Its my BGS project title.. our prof gave us an interestin topic (much more interesting compared to e topic we came out by ourselves) YAY haha my parents will have to queue up to read the book. My dad always takes my books away to read.. I still have 3 more new books to read JIA YOU! oh ya still want to buy Guns, germs and steel by Jared Diamond (nice surname right??) HOHO... I got into an OCIP! Im going to Cebu, Philippines this december! Im in the logs/ops team my partner is BX... nice guy... and we and one of the leaders are part of the advance party.. so we wud haf to fly in i tink 2 days earlier?? i'll be away frm 1-24 dec.. LUckily i'll be back for christmas man!!! if not i wud miss the turkey and the presents and yes.. pinching my cousin's cheeks! What they say abt smu is so true.. Too many opportunities too little time?? I want to do so many things but time is really a constraint... esp the holidays....... exchange, business study missions, work and travel USA overseas internships and OCIP!! And i only have 4 years in smu man.... Talia will be an accountant =( My dream is to open a business with a gd buddy (URAINA POH) we were just talkin abt it over dinner just now... I suggested we go paris to study fashion design (its a joke la) lol... Ok got chuch tmr GOTTA GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LAZY BLOGGERIm not afraid to admit tt man... Well well its been sometime, since freshmen bash?? so orientation is officially over, competition is heating up, books are piling up.. hopefully the the height of the pile of ur books possess a direct (increasing) relationship to ur GPA...So the past week has been quite hectic it was only like week3-4 and Ive had to go back to sch on a sunday.... TWC tech n world change... Yes we believe we can change the world with our ultimate, revolutionary umbrella... DRYER... i noe i noe it sounds lame.. haha but we constructed it successfully. A pity I was abit sick so i could only help out with v minor tasks... =(
